A Prophetic Preview of the 2026 South Australia State Election

SOUTH AUSTRALIANS head to the polls on 21 March, 2026 to choose the governance and policies affecting nearly 2 million neighbours for the next four years. Christians across the state must now begin prayerfully considering how God wants them to steward their vote and maximise democratic opportunities to quite practically love thy neighbour.

At 2025’s Church And State Adelaide conference, expert speakers taught on a range of issues breaking God’s heart which should inform our voting preferences. We taught about issues, not so much parties or personalities.

Justice is driven back; godliness stands far off. Indeed, honesty stumbles in the city square and morality is not even able to enter. Honesty has disappeared; the one who tries to avoid evil is robbed. The Lord watches and is  displeased, for there is no justice. He sees there is no advocate; He is shocked that no one intervenes.
     – Isaiah 59:14-16

Christian voters must be better than blind partisanship: interested in the objective issues and considering every election through the eyes of Jesus – how He would number His ballot if He was registered to vote in their local electorate. This is practically seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness!

You don’t need to be registered to vote to have a huge impact on the justice and morality of the next parliament! This one day conference is essential education for every Christian man, woman and teenager resident in South Australia.

    Other Essential S.A. Election Resources

    12pm Tuesday, 24 February 2026

That’s when the Electoral Commission SA (ECSA) will have their Declaration of Candidates and Ballot Draw. Very soon after that the brilliant election website, NumberEveryBox.com.au will be populated with every name appearing on the Upper and Lower House ballots across South Australia so you can carefully plan your preferences!

Now it’s easy to make sure your ballot can’t be wasted (and inadvertantly help the worst candidates and parties) by exercising your voice at every stage of counting!

    Research Resources

ACL will be conducting extensive research and surveys of candidates in every electorate which will be incredibly helpful when published. CAS encourages voters to read and rank candidates’ answers for themselves rather than just the summary or simple scores given by someone else. This is one of the most diligent ways to choose your own preferences.

Canberra Declaration is a driving force behind the Christians Values Checklist which can also be helpful to assess the overall policy position of parties. Diligence is still required though, as candidates from any one party may vary significantly from their colleagues within the same party!

The pulpit needs to disciple the debate.

A fear of socially-debated issues has gripped most pulpits of Australia for decades. Let’s be honest. Our once Christian nation now openly throws parades for pride in sexual immorality and celebrates decriminalising the killing of innocent people. Coincidence?

Australians are actively being discipled by the media, internet influencers, politicians and entertainment celebrities about the most debated issues in our culture. Yet far too many preachers remain silent about those topics – despite the Bible being loud and clear.

We need a reformation. There can be no revival in any nation without repentance, and there will be no repentance without the pulpits of Australia aflame with fearless preaching of righteousness – what is objectively good, not what is inoffensive.

Church And State convenes high calibre speakers at events in Brisbane, Hobart, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide and Sydney (and partners with regional churches) every year answering the questions of a lost culture groping for Truth and stumbling in the darkness.

You will be encouraged, equipped and challenged at these events to be effective salt and light – discipling the nation, teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded.
