Ahead of the annual Church And State Summit in Brisbane (February 2020), join us for Church And State Moree: an afternoon and evening of inspiration & teaching on the Biblical relationship between Church & government, and how we as believers can practically be salt & light in the public square.

This unique evening will include presentations from John Anderson (former Deputy Prime Minister), Kieren Jackson (ACL NSW Director) and Dave Pellowe (Church And State), as well as time for Q&A and conversation.

” The Lord was amazed to see no one intervened…”

Many Scriptures like this in Isaiah 59:14-16 reveal the Church should not be apolitical. But what exactly does the Bible say about God’s people and politics? There is a pressing need for sound teaching on Biblical doctrines of government, church and family (specifically in relation to each other). Church And State is encouraging Christians in every electorate to strategically supply political support as Jesus would in our place – without blind loyalty to any politician or party, but guided by God’s Word.

Motivated by a sincere love for our 25 million neighbours (Aussies) and God’s concern for justice in the land, Dave Pellowe’s ministry is encouraging Christians to use God’s Word to guide their votes & political engagement, instead of the mainstream media, political parties or politicians.

John Anderson is a local sixth-generation farmer and grazier who spent nineteen years up to 2005 in the Australian Parliament, including six years as Deputy Prime Minister. John was made an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2011 for his support of rural and regional communities. As an esteemed elder statesman in Australia, his insightful commentary is highly valued.

Kieren Jackson is the New South Wales Director of the Australian Christian Lobby. He is at the coalface of political issues concerning Christians in New South Wales and will bring updates and insights into both state and federal issues, including freedom of religion. Kieren has a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.

Dave Pellowe is a writer, speaker & political commentator. His articles have been published in The Spectator, Quadrant Online, Caldron Pool & Eternity News. He’s a successful election campaign director (helping a very safe Labor seat change hands) & communication consultant. Dave served the Family First Party for many elections on the Qld state executive & is now independent.
