Hinchinbrook By-Election – 29 November 2025

Petitioning Heaven – and parliament – for the families & freedom in the Hinchinbrook by-election

QUEENSLANDERS in Ingham, Deeragun, Bluewater, Cardwell and north Townsville, as well as Rollingstone, Taylors Beach, Forrest Beach and Halifax are getting another chance to choose their Member of Parliament on 29 November, 2025.

Over 40,000 voters get to send a clear message to the State Parliament about the policies affecting nearly 6 million neighbours – fellow Queenslanders – for the next three years. Christians must prayerfully consider how God wants them to steward their vote and maximise this democratic opportunity to quite practically “love thy neighbour.”

Forget media and partisan agendas – what issues are breaking God’s heart? Where does He see a lack of honesty or justice which requires His people to intervene in?

“Justice is driven back; godliness stands far off. Indeed, honesty stumbles in the city square and morality is not even able to enter. Honesty has disappeared; the one who tries to avoid evil is robbed. The Lord watches and is  displeased, for there is no justice. He sees there is no advocate; He is shocked that no one intervenes.”
– Isaiah 59:14-16

Christian voters must be better than blind partisanship: interested in the objective issues and considering every election through the eyes of Jesus – how He would number the empty boxes if He was registered to vote in Hinchinbrook? Sincerely asking this question is practically seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness!

Church And State is privilleged to convene with ACL, Cherish Life, Family Voice and Answers In Genesis in two unique forums in this electorate a week before polling day to help local Christians meet God’s expectation that together we do our best to advocate for the people of Hinchinbrook.
