🎺 What could happen if the sleeping Church was awakened & equipped? • FIND OUT how you can help “Awakening the Church” today 🎺

Dave Pellowe sits down with George Christensen — former MP for Dawson and now Australian Coordinator for CitizenGo — for one of the most powerful conversations yet on The Church and State Show. Forget waiting for a “political saviour.” George explains how ordinary Australians can have more power than politicians — if we’re informed, active, and prayerful. They’ll tackle the spiritual battle behind our nation’s political decay, the rising war for freedom, and the strategy to turn Australia around — from civilisational collapse to revival.

Australia is at a crossroads. The question isn’t whether the nation faces challenges—it’s whether we’ll rise to meet them. In this episode, George Christensen joins me to tackle the big question: How do we save Australia? His answer is refreshingly blunt: stop waiting for a political messiah and start acting like citizens who care.

George begins by rejecting the fantasy of a “white knight” politician riding in to rescue us. Even Donald Trump, hailed by many as America’s saviour, has his shortcomings. Politicians are human, flawed, and often constrained. Real power, George insists, lies with informed and active citizens. “You can be more powerful than a politician,” he says, “if you’re willing to act.”

So what does action look like? George lays out three essentials:

  1. Be informed. Ignorance is the enemy of freedom. Christians and conservatives must seek out reputable sources, do their own research, and never apologise for it. George’s own platforms—Nation First, Confidential Daily, and soon-to-launch Command Post Australia—exist to equip Australians with truth the mainstream media ignores.

  2. Act. Complaining on Facebook won’t cut it. George calls for petitions, rallies, emails, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations with MPs. “Politicians respect you when they fear you,” he says. Fear comes when they believe voters can cost them their seats. Numbers matter, and CitizenGo is proving it—growing from 18,000 members to nearly 100,000 in under three years, with a goal of half a million. That’s influence.

  3. Pray. This battle isn’t just political—it’s spiritual. The attacks on life, family, and freedom are, as George puts it, “satanic and demonic.” Prayer and spiritual warfare are non-negotiable. Without God’s intervention, our efforts will fall short.

If you are serious about loving your neighbour and seeking first the Kingdom of God, do not miss the next Church And State conference near you.

George also shares his own initiatives beyond CitizenGo. His newsletter Nation First delivers daily intel, while Confidential Daily—founded by Corey Bernardi—offers common-sense commentary on politics, health, and financial freedom. And then there’s Command Post Australia, launching soon, modelled on Steve Bannon’s War Room. Its mission? Provide Australians with sharp, actionable intelligence to fight back against cultural decay.

We discuss the disengagement plaguing Christians—those called to be salt and light have gone into cruise control. The result? Darkness fills the vacuum. George warns that freedoms are eroding fast, and once freedom of faith and speech are gone, democracy collapses. He cites the slippery slope from same-sex marriage to today’s radical gender ideology as proof that compromise only emboldens the Left.

Political parties aren’t spared criticism. George argues that some are “consumed with darkness,” while I contend that abandoning them only accelerates decline. We agree on this: whether through parties or activist groups, Christians must re-enter the public square. “The people who don’t turn up lose,” I remind viewers. It’s that simple.

George’s vision is bold: unite conservatives, flood political parties with principled members, and build a third force strong enough to rival the Greens and Teals. It won’t be easy. It won’t be quick. But it’s possible—if we wake up, switch on, and get involved.
