LNP: baby killers or useful idiots

The LNP is now advancing Labor’s abortion agenda.
Not rhetorically. In policy.
The Queensland Health Termination of Pregnancy Action Plan 2032 — Labor’s strategy to increase abortions — is being actively supported by the LNP government.
If you want that stopped, add your name to the petition now.
What’s actually happening
This is a long-term plan to expand abortion access across the system—workforce, prescribing, service availability, and delivery pathways.
It didn’t start with the LNP.
But it is continuing because of them.
That’s the point.
The contradiction that matters
Before the election: abortion was “not a priority”.
After the election: the plan continues.
Those two positions can’t both be true.
If the LNP doesn’t support this direction, it should have halted the plan.
It didn’t.
Who benefits from silence
When a policy expands quietly, with all debate gagged, it becomes very hard to stop.
That’s why the earlier decision to block parliamentary scrutiny matters—but only for one reason:
It removes friction.
No debate means fewer obstacles.
Fewer obstacles means the plan keeps moving.
If you don’t want that outcome, sign the petition.
Follow the incentives
Policies like this don’t operate in a vacuum.
They involve procurement, prescribing, training, and partnerships across the health system.
Where there is expansion, there are beneficiaries.
That is why transparency matters.
That is why scrutiny matters.
And that is exactly what has been reduced.
This is where it either stops or accelerates
Right now, the plan is still in motion.
It hasn’t been abandoned.
It hasn’t been reversed.
It is being implemented.
If nothing interrupts that, it becomes the settled framework for the next decade.
What changes the outcome
Not statements.
Not assumptions about what the party or local MP “really believes.”
Pressure.
Measured, visible pressure that makes continuing the plan more costly than stopping it.
That is the purpose of this petition.
The line is simple
If the LNP does not support Labor’s abortion agenda, it should stop implementing it.
If it does support it, it should say so.
Continuing it quietly is the worst of both positions.
Sign the petition and force a clear answer.
Don’t let this get normalised
The longer this runs without challenge, the harder it is to unwind.
That is how temporary political decisions become permanent policy.
