Political Wisdom Workshop
for Church Leaders
“The Lord was pleased that Solomon…asked for wisdom in governing.”
1 Kings 3:10-11
Biblical Wisdom for Confident Leadership
Equip your people to think biblically, engage wisely and remain united in Christ.
This free workshop with Dave Pellowe will help pastors and church leadership teams address questions of justice, politics and public life with biblical clarity and pastoral confidence, while keeping the Gospel at the centre.
Lead with conviction. Strengthen unity.
Some people in your congregation want you to speak more about politics. Others would rather you never mentioned it. You want to teach Scripture faithfully without allowing these differences to divide the people entrusted to your care.
Avoiding every difficult issue is not the answer. Neither is letting politics take over the life of your church.
This workshop is not about making you more political.
It’s about equipping you to pastor your people well.
In 1 Kings 3, Solomon recognised the weight of his responsibility and asked God for an understanding heart to discern good and evil and administer justice. God was pleased with his request.
That is our starting point: not loyalty to a political party, but a humble desire for the wisdom to understand what is right and lead people faithfully.
What you’ll learn
- How to teach Christians to actually apply the Biblical Truth they’re taught to elections
- How to postively engage those people in every congregation who always want you to be ‘more political’
- Unpacking the 4 simple, critical rules to guarantee we best steward our votes
- The shocking surprise most Christians give God by how we vote – this must stop now
- The civic competency crisis facing Australia, including most Christians
- Serving the wrong master – Scriptures to immunise Christians in politics against institutionalisation
- How to promote the unity of the saints with maturity instead of avoidance
Biblical and pastoral, not partisan
You do not need to become a political expert or turn your pulpit into a campaign platform.
The focus is on faithful discipleship: helping people bring every area of life under the lordship of Christ while recognising where Christians may reach different conclusions.
Prayer, evangelism and the gospel remain central. Public engagement is considered within that larger calling, not as a replacement for it.
Who’s this for?
Pastors, associate pastors, elders and other church leaders should attend this workshop together to build the unified revelation of what God is saying to His Church in Australia about the urgent need for political repentance, wisdom and stewardship of the nation we’ve inherited.
